We’re proud to support long day care services with our customised menu packs; a practical, evidence-based solution that helps centres serve nutritious, balanced meals all year round.
Designed by our team of dietitians, these menu packs take the pressure off planning and ensure services can confidently meet Victoria’s Menu planning guidelines for long day care, the Australian Dietary Guidelines and support Quality Area 2 of the National Quality Standards. Each pack includes seasonal recipes, shopping lists and portion sizes tailored to the number of children in the service, making healthy eating easier for cooks, educators and directors alike.
By giving centres the tools they need to provide delicious, developmentally appropriate meals every day, our menu packs are helping create healthier food environments across Australia.

Long day care centres want to offer meals that nourish children and help them grow, learn and thrive, but creating balanced, cost-effective menus takes time, skill and confidence.
Many services face real barriers: limited staff time, rising food costs, complex menu guidelines, and the daily challenge of finding recipes that children enjoy. For busy cooks and centre managers, developing seasonal menus that meet best-practice standards can feel overwhelming.
We saw an opportunity to support the sector with something practical, trustworthy and easy to use, so centres can spend less time planning, and more time doing what matters most: caring for children.
We created our Menu Packs to make nutritious food provision easier, more achievable and more enjoyable for long day care services.
The Menu Packs gives centres everything they need to serve balanced, nourishing meals throughout the year. Recipes are dietitian-approved, practical for real-world kitchens and designed around seasonal produce to support affordability and reduce waste. Portions are customised to the number of children in each service, and every pack includes clear shopping lists so teams can shop, cook and serve with confidence.
By removing the complexity of planning and aligning menus with nutrition guidelines, the Menu Packs give cooks and centre managers more time to focus on creating positive mealtime experiences and supporting children to learn, play and grow through good food.
To support long day care services to serve nutritious, balanced meals with confidence, we developed two seasonal Menu Packs (Summer/Autumn and Winter/Spring), each designed to make menu planning easier, more consistent and more aligned with best practice.
Each Menu Pack includes:
Four rotating weekly menus, available in both standard and vegetarian variations
Seventy-two recipes that are dietitian-approved, child-friendly and aligned with key food groups
A comprehensive Welcome Guide with practical tips and tools for running a nutritious food program
Pre-planned shopping lists to streamline ordering and reduce time spent on administration
Customisation based on the number of children attending each day, helping services reduce food waste and control costs
All menus were developed to meet the Menu Planning Guidelines for Long Day Care and the Australian Dietary Guidelines, and they support services working toward Quality Area 2 of the National Quality Standard.
By creating resources that are practical, seasonal, and easy to implement, we helped long day care teams spend less time planning and more time providing nourishing meals children enjoy.
We’d love to help.
