Bring colleagues together around food with simple activities and ideas that make National Nutrition Week easy to celebrate at work.

National Nutrition Week runs from 12–18 October 2026, and this year the National Nutrition Foundation is inviting Australians to Love what you eat by celebrating the role food plays in culture, community, place, wellbeing and everyday life.

Our free Workplace Celebration Guide makes it easy to get involved, whether you’re planning something for a small team or a whole organisation.

What’s inside the workplace guide?

The guide includes ready-to-use ideas to help you plan a National Nutrition Week activity at work, including:

  • ideas for bringing colleagues together around food
  • a workplace potluck lunch activity
  • prompts for creating a shared workplace recipe book
  • ready-to-use email templates to invite your team to participate
  • ideas for starting positive conversations about food and connection
  • simple ways to share your National Nutrition Week celebrations

Activities can be adapted to suit different workplaces, team sizes and ways of working.

Celebrate National Nutrition Week at work

You don’t need to organise a major event to take part. National Nutrition Week can be as simple as sharing a meal, swapping favourite recipes or creating an opportunity for colleagues to talk about the foods, traditions and experiences that matter to them.

However your workplace chooses to celebrate, the aim is to create an inclusive and enjoyable opportunity to connect through food.
