Towards a healthy, regenerative and equitable food system in Victoria.

Supporting a shared vision for a fairer, more sustainable Victorian food system.

In 2022, National Nutrition Foundation, credited as Nutrition Australia at the time, supported the Towards a Healthy, Regenerative and Equitable Food System in Victoria Consensus Statement developed through the Victorian Food Security and Food Systems Working Group.

The statement brought together organisations from across government, public health, community food, research and other sectors around a shared vision for a food system that supports health, equity, resilience and environmental sustainability. It identified ten priority areas for action, including food systems governance, public sector food procurement, school food systems, local food infrastructure and community food systems planning.
