Ricky and Caitlin will both be representing the National Nutrition Foundation at the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) Preventative Health conference in 2026.

They will present:

  • From programs to systems: reframing prevention as strategic infrastructure in public health (Caitlin)
  • Embedding digital tools in systems change: Lessons from FoodChecker’s multi-jurisdictional journey (Caitlin)
  • Beyond the menu: Building sustainable healthier food environments in long dare care services  (Ricky)
  • Cooks Connect: building capacity among early childhood and education care cooks to strengthen healthy food provision (Ricky)

Ricky and Caitlin will both be presenting on Tuesday the 5th May 2026.

Bios

Ricky

Ricky is a dietitian and Nutrition Policy Advisor at the Healthy Eating Advisory Service, a program delivered by the National Nutrition Foundation. With experience implementing statewide programs and as a community dietitian, Ricky understands how food choices are shaped by social and structural factors and is passionate about positively influencing food behaviours in early childhood.

Caitlin

Caitlin is a public health nutrition professional with nearly 20 years’ experience in communications, advocacy, nutrition policy implementation, and project management in the not-for-profit sector. Her experience spans resource development, media relations, copywriting and editing, awareness campaigns, government-funded service delivery, stakeholder relations, and website management. She is passionate about crafting person-centered content and experiences that inform, educate and empower positive behaviour change. Caitlin is currently the Digital Product Manager at National Nutrition Foundation, where she has managed the national online food and drink assessment tool, FoodChecker, since 2017.
