As Term 1 draws to a close, the excitement of school holiday plans and inspiration begins to grow!  We’ve put together a collection of food, movement, and wonderful outdoor activities for you to explore.  With equal parts rest and adventure, we wish you very happyrefreshing and memorable break

The Little Food Festival

April 15-16 

The Little Food Festival is Australia’s iconic food festival for kids.  Two vibrant days of hands-on activities to spark curiosity and excitement about the entire food system.  From how food is grown, to how it is shared.  Expect hands on activities, interactive learning, and plenty of fun along the way.  This is a fantastic way to inspire the next generation to care about food, sustainability, and the planet.  It’s free.  *And, we have a stand there too, so look forward to seeing you! 

Little Food Festival  

Easter Energy, Yoga, Art and Mindfulness (Age 4-7) 

Avondale Heights, Melbourne 

April 15 

Hop straight into school holiday fun with a delightful mix of movement and creativity!  This Easter themed session blends gentle yoga, group games, mindfulness, relaxation and a delicious morning tea; perfect for younger children to unwind, make friends, and celebrate the joy of Easter!   

There are lots of yoga classes and options available over the school holidays for different age groups and locations, so use this as your inspiration to find some zen and fun near you!

Kids in Nature Week | CERES 

Brunswick East, Melbourne 

April 13-17 

If you’re craving a slower pace, this is a beautiful way to reconnect with the outdoors. Families are invited to explore nature through hands on activities like gardening, insect discovery, bush crafts, and sensory play.  Each day brings a new theme, so there’s something to spark curiosity in every child (no matter their age or interests).

School Holiday Baking Workshops 

Coldstream, Yarra Valley  

April 9th and 16th 

Next up, head out to the beautiful Yarra Valley for a school holiday cooking program, hosted by St. Huberts Estate.  For budding little bakers, this hands-on workshop is a real treat!  Kids can build and decorate their own edible Easter cookie basket (think gingerbread house style) and take home their delicious creation.
