Try for 5 is our annual awareness campaign to boost awareness of the importance of vegetables to our health and wellbeing.
Widely recognised, Try for 5 has been led by NNF (formerly Nutrition Australia VIC, SA, TAS, WA Division) for over a decade. The national-scale campaign partners with like-minded industry organisations to deliver a multi-channel campaign to the Australian population.
The core campaign message is Try for 5 – our purpose is to encourage the whole population to try for the recommended 5 serves of vegetables per day and feel the benefits.
Each year the campaign responds to health, economic and population pressures to deliver a relevant and impactful campaign that enables the Australian population to improve their health by eating more veggies.
Tryfor5.org.au is a powerhouse of information and budget-friendly, simple solutions available year round to help achieve the daily 5 servings of vegetables.

A successful launch event was held in Sydney thanks to our key sponsor Vitamix AU.
A live cooking demonstration was attended by key media personalities and influencers followed by a panel discussion led by NNF. Key industry professionals discussed the importance of vegetables – media coverage of the event was received across a range of outlets including: online, television, radioand print publications which was circulated to numerous press outlets and news features.
