John is an experienced governance professional with 30+ years as a company director and company secretary in the public and private sectors and a former senior university administrator and law lecture.
He is the former University Secretary of Melbourne University Private and Deputy University Secretary of the University of Melbourne. Previous appointments include Chairman of the Melbourne University Credit Union and Pulse Credit Union and currently is a member of the Advisory Board of the Teachers Mutual Bank, Company Secretary of UM Commercialisation Pty Ltd, UoM Genesis Pre-Seed Fund Pty Ltd and Uniseed Management Pty Ltd.
John is a qualified lawyer and accountant and his extensive professional career has been recognised by his election as the Australian and International President of Governance Institute, the leading professional body overseeing governance matters.
